NCEC application support for equipment and facility based companies
NCEC certificate registration in Nigeria
Apply for the Nigerian Content Equipment Certificate that reflects the facilities, assets and equipment your company can prove it owns or controls. We assess the category, prepare the evidence and follow the application through inspection and approval.
Does your company qualify for NCEC?
NCDMB issues NCEC to eligible companies with verifiable Nigerian equipment, facilities, manufacturing, assembly, calibration, leasing or related capacity. The certificate category must match the value creation and assets that can be inspected.
Category selection affects the evidence and the tender work the certificate can support. Read our guide to NCEC categories in Nigeria before you prepare the application.
Companies that may qualify for NCEC
- Equipment manufacturers and assemblers
- Fabrication, repair and calibration facilities
- Companies that own movable oil and gas equipment
- Equipment leasing and asset management companies
- Businesses with verifiable OEM or facility arrangements
Choose an NCEC category your evidence can support
The current NOGIC JQS application presents eight categories. We group the first assessment around where value is created, who owns the assets and how the equipment will be used in Nigerian oil and gas work.
Facility based capacity
For manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, repair, calibration or other work carried out in an identifiable Nigerian facility with installed equipment and trained personnel.
Owned equipment capacity
For companies with movable equipment and assets that can be tied to the company through invoices, receipts, customs records and physical inspection.
Leasing or partner capacity
For equipment leasing and qualifying partnership arrangements. The agreement, control, availability and investment commitment must be clear and verifiable.

NCDMB’s service level schedule combines corporate, financial, equipment and facility evidence. The exact uploads depend on the selected category and the assets presented for inspection.

What delays an NCEC application?
NCEC is an evidence and inspection process. A polished company profile cannot replace proof that the listed equipment exists, belongs to the applicant or is available under a valid arrangement.
NCDMB can inspect the facility and request original documents. Upload only assets and claims that can be verified physically and on paper.
The NOGIC JQS company profile is incomplete or the petroleum permit is expired.
The selected category does not match the facility, equipment or business model.
Invoices, receipts and bill of lading do not establish clear equipment ownership.
Facility photographs, installed equipment and uploaded records do not agree.
The applicant cannot present original documents or the listed assets during inspection.
How we handle your NCEC application
We start with the assets an inspector can verify. That keeps the category, documents and investment plan grounded in the company’s real capacity.
Avoid preventable NCEC application problems
Most failed or delayed files have an evidence problem that could have been caught before submission. Review the common NCEC application mistakes before you list equipment or upload ownership records.
