This Refund Policy explains when a refund is available for services processed through oilandgaspermit.ng, which is operated by TCorporate Legal Advisory. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.
Two kinds of fees
Understanding the difference between the two is the key to this policy.
Official fees are paid to regulators, agencies, certification bodies and operators. Examples include NUPRC permit fees, NCDMB registration fees, NIPEX onboarding charges, NPA and NIMASA charges, certification body fees and statutory payments.
Service fees are paid to us for reviewing your documents, preparing your application, filing it, and following it through to a decision.
Official fees are not refundable once remitted
Once an official fee has been paid to a regulator, agency, certification body or operator, we cannot recover it. These bodies operate their own refund rules, and in most cases fees are non refundable once an application has been lodged. This applies whether or not the application is ultimately approved.
Where an official fee has been collected from you but not yet remitted, it is refundable in full.
Service fees
Before work begins. If you cancel before we have started reviewing your documents or preparing your application, your service fee is refundable in full.
After work begins but before filing. If you cancel after we have started but before the application is submitted, we refund the portion of the service fee that reflects work not yet done. We will show you what has been completed and what is being refunded.
After filing. Once an application has been submitted to the relevant authority, service fees are not refundable. At that point the work has been performed, regardless of how the authority decides.
Where an application is rejected or declined
A rejection does not on its own entitle you to a refund. Approval rests with the regulator, agency or operator, and we cannot guarantee any outcome.
Where an application is queried or declined for a reason we can address, such as a documentation issue on our side, we will correct and resubmit it at no additional service fee. Any fresh official fee charged by the authority remains payable by you.
Where an application fails because information or documents you supplied were inaccurate, incomplete, expired or invalid, no refund is due and any resubmission is chargeable.
Where no refund is available
No refund is due where the permit, certificate or registration has been issued; where the application failed because of false, forged or invalid documents; where you became unreachable or did not respond to our requests for a prolonged period; where you did not make premises, equipment or personnel available for a required inspection; or where you engaged another agent for the same application without telling us.
Delays
Timelines we give are estimates, not guarantees. Delays caused by regulator backlogs, system downtime, public holidays, inspection scheduling, policy changes or requests for further documentation do not create a right to a refund. We will keep you informed where a timeline moves.
How to request a refund
Send a written request to info@tcorporatelegaladvisory.com. Include your company name, the service engaged, the date of payment, proof of payment, and the reason for the request.
We acknowledge requests within 3 working days and aim to reach a decision within 14 working days. Approved refunds are paid to the account the payment came from, within 14 working days of approval. Bank charges and payment gateway fees are not refundable.
If you disagree with a decision
Tell us. We will review the matter and respond. We would rather resolve a disagreement directly than have you take it elsewhere.
